We do not currently support importing data from Smartsheet directly into Office Timeline Online. However, there is a simple workaround you can use to quickly turn your Smartsheet plan into an impressive Gantt chart: first export the data to Excel, and then import it from Excel into the online timeline maker. Here’s how:
Export your data from Smartsheet to Excel.
Open the resulting Excel file, enable editing if prompted, and save it. This is an essential step to ensure the data is read correctly when importing into Office Timeline.
Note: If your Smartsheet plan contains any milestones, you may want to delete their Start Dates or End Dates from the exported Excel sheet. Otherwise, Office Timeline Online will import them as 1-day tasks by default because, in the online timeline maker, milestones have only a single date attached to them.
Import the Excel file into Office Timeline Online to turn your Smartsheet plan into an impressive timeline.
