I have a paid license. Why are my timelines suddenly ineditable?
Symptoms
You know you have a paid Office Timeline Online license, but when you log in to the web app, your timelines that exceed 10 items are displaying with a watermark. What's going on?

Overview
If you're encountering the symptoms described above, it typically means your account is showing as Free and you are only authorized to access features within the Free tier limitations.
This usually happens for one of the following reasons:
- You are signed in with the wrong email address — your license is tied to a specific email, and if you log in with a different one (including a linked Microsoft or Google account), your premium access won't be recognized.
- Your subscription has expired.
- Your license manager has revoked your license.
Solution
Try the steps below in order:
- Check which email you're signed in with. Go to your account profile in Office Timeline Online and confirm the email shown matches the one your license was assigned to. If it doesn't, sign out and sign back in with the correct email address. If you're unsure which email your license is tied to, contact your license manager or the person who purchased your subscription.
- Check your subscription status. Go to the Subscriptions tab in your account on OfficeTimeline.com to see whether your subscription has expired. You can then either renew it yourself (if you made the initial purchase) or contact your license manager, subscription owner, or reseller to handle that for you.
- If you can't see the subscription in your account at all, it usually means your license has been revoked by the license manager. Please contact them about reassigning it to you.
- You can always purchase a new subscription from our main website or directly within the app by clicking any of the Upgrade buttons.
