Overview
Office Timeline Online lets you instantly download your timelines and Gantt charts as editable PowerPoint slides, so you can easily share them or present them in meetings. However, if you don't have access to Microsoft PowerPoint or prefer using G Suite, you might want to import your visual into a Google Slides presentation. Here's how to do it:
Steps
-
Download your timeline as a PowerPoint slide (Right-Click -> Download -> PowerPoint).
-
From your presentation in Google Slides, go to File -> Import slides.
-
In the window that pops up, go to the Upload tab and drag or select your .pptx timeline file to bring it into Google Slides.
-
Select the timeline slide and then click the Import slides button.
-
Done! You've now turned your chart from Office Timeline Online into a native Google Slide that you can edit manually with the usual G Suite controls. You can change texts, recolor anything, and resize or reposition objects as you wish.
Notes:
- Expect font changes. Google Slides may not have the text fonts you originally used in Office Timeline Online. If that's the case, it will convert your original typefaces into the closest available font.
- Minor format changes may occur too. The timeline's formatting after the import will be very similar to the original, but some differences may occur. You may need to look for such details and tweak them to get the perfect layout in Google Slides.
