What happens when my license is downgraded to Free?
When your subscription expires or your license is revoked, you don't lose your Office Timeline Online account or any of your work. Your account will simply revert to Free and everything will still be there, but accessible only within the Free plan's limitations.
Key considerations:
- Timelines with more than 10 items will display a watermark. To remove it, you'll need to upgrade your account.
- If your timeline has collaborators, the current collaborators will remain, but all shared timelines will have a watermark displayed.
Why might this happen?
There are a few reasons your account may show as Free:
- Your subscription has expired.
- Your license manager has revoked your license.
- You are signed in with the wrong email address — because Office Timeline uses account-based login, your license is tied to a specific email. If you log in with a different address, your premium access won't be recognized.
If you're seeing Free limitations unexpectedly, check which email you're signed in with and confirm it matches the one your license is assigned to. If you need further help, contact us at support@officetimeline.com.
