A) Quick comparison: free vs. premium
B) Watermark
A key difference between Free and Premium licenses is the number of milestones and tasks that can be displayed without a watermark.
Free users can add up to 10 milestones and tasks per timeline without a watermark. Timelines that exceed 10 items will display a watermark overlay. To remove it, upgrade your subscription.
C) Collaboration
The 10-item limit applies in collaboration as well.
If any collaborator is using a Free license, all users will see a watermark and timeline downloads will be disabled, regardless of their individual plan.
D) Importing
Free users can import up to 10 milestones and tasks per timeline from tools like Microsoft Project, Excel, Smartsheet, and Jira, watermark-free.
Premium users can import up to 150 rows of data and create full-featured timelines without any watermark.
E) Timeline refresh
Free users can refresh timelines connected to Excel, Project, or Jira, but any timeline with more than 10 items will display a watermark.
Premium users have no refresh limitations.
F) Timeline downloads
Premium users can download timelines as PowerPoint slides, PNG images, or Excel files, regardless of item count.
Free users cannot download timelines.
G) Templates
Both Free and Premium accounts have full access to all templates in the Timeline Online gallery.
H) What happens when my license is downgraded to Free?
If your subscription expires or your Premium license is revoked, your Timeline Online account and saved timelines will not be deleted. Your account reverts to Free, and your content remains accessible within the Free plan's limitations.
Key things to know:
Timelines with more than 10 items will display a watermark. Upgrade your account to remove it.
If your timeline has collaborators, those collaborators will remain, but all shared timelines will display a watermark.
